Two minutes with a ruler saves a return trip. Measure the foot, match the chart, and if you're between sizes, take the bigger one.

How to measure your kid's foot

  1. Put a piece of paper on the floor, one short edge touching a wall.
  2. Your child stands on it, heel gently against the wall, weight on the foot.
  3. Mark the tip of the longest toe, then measure from the wall edge to the mark in cm.
  4. Measure both feet and use the bigger number — feet are rarely twins.
  5. Add about 1 cm of growing room, then match that length to the chart below.

Measure in the evening — feet grow a little during the day, just like ours.
